Here at VeggieVision TV we always love to hear about a new vegan friendly tipple.... and we are delighted to let you know about the exciting news from vegan non alcholic brand Nozeco...

Nozeco, the UK’s leading alcohol-free sparkling wine brand, continues to expand its range to meet growing consumer demand for non-alcoholic alternatives. The collection now includes eight different wines, both sparkling and still, offering a broad selection for those who choose to avoid alcohol without compromising on taste or variety.

Their portfolio covers a wide range of brands, from heritage brands from historic wineries such as Calvet and Moillard to the UK’s fastest-growing rosé, Fleurs de Prairie, to disrupter pioneer brands showcasing new technology with the UK’s number one alcohol-free fizz range, Nozeco, and many more.

The current Nozeco lineup includes:

  • Nozeco Classic Sparkling White
  • Nozeco Sparkling Rosé
  • Nozeco Buck’s Fizz
  • Nozeco Spritz
  • Nozeco Still Rosé
  • Nozeco Still Chardonnay
  • Nozeco Still Merlot
  • Nozeco Sparkling Peach Bellini (coming soon…)

All Nozeco wines are alcohol-free, vegan-friendly, gluten-free, and low in calories.

Market Position and Recognition

According to Circana data from January 2024, Nozeco holds a 26% share of the UK’s low- and no-alcohol wine market — ahead of other prominent brands such as McGuigan Zero and Eisberg. The brand has also received recognition at the 2024 IWSC Low and No Awards, where three products earned high scores:

  • Peach BelliniGold, 95 points: Praised for its vibrant peach flavour and balance of sweetness and acidity.
  • Classic Sparkling WhiteSilver, 91 points: Noted for citrus and floral complexity.
  • SpritzSilver, 91 points: Recognised for its balance of sweet and bitter orange tones.

Production and Sustainability

Nozeco wines are produced at a state-of-the-art dealcoholisation facility, designed to preserve the aromatic and sensory qualities of wine during the alcohol removal process. The site is the first of its scale and complexity in the wine industry. Because dealcoholisation and bottling take place in-house, the process also reduces transportation and lowers the brand’s overall environmental impact.

Nozeco is produced by Les Grands Chais de France (GCF), France’s largest privately-owned wine producer, with 68 vineyards across the country. The company remains independently owned and is managed by the second generation of the Helfrich family.

About Les Grands Chais de France

In 1979, Joseph Helfrich founded Les Grands Chais de France, which is, first and foremost, the story of a family driven by a passion for wine. His vision was "to have consumers worldwide enjoy the huge diversity of wines and the authenticity of French and foreign terroirs”.

One of his earliest steps to achieving this vision was the creation of J.P. Chenet, which demystified wine and offered two grape varieties: a Cabernet Sauvignon du Pays d’Oc and a Blanc de Blancs des Côtes de Gascogne. It subsequently became the most popular French wine brand in the world.

Today, Les Grands Chais de France is France’s most prominent wine exporter, accounting for around one in every six bottles sold in international markets. It is also France's most extensive private winemaker, with 68 properties nationwide. The company remains independently owned and is now in the second generation of the Helfrich family.

The Alsace-based group company recently expanded its reach to become a global wine producer with estates in a variety of premium wine regions around the world, including Las Niñas in Colchagua, Chile, and Neethlingshof in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
