After not colouring my hair for about 15 years I thrilled to hear of the organic and vegan friendly hairdressers Karine Jackson Hair and Beauty based in the Westend of London. salon1
For years I have taken my own shampoo and conditioner to hairdressers so a rather refreshing change to use salon products without compromising my values.
I received a warm and professional welcome and was offered the drinks menu that includes a long list of herbal teas, juices – and champagne too.
I enjoyed chatting to several team members and ask them about their hairdressing careers, they all love their careers and are thrilled to be working at Karine Jackson Hair and Beauty too.

After leafing through magazines as one has the pleasure of doing at the hairdressers and also checking out their collections on their I Pad I then had a great consultation with Training Director Ian Florey and we chatted about my face shape, skin colouring and various colours and styles that could work for me.
A great deal of care and time was taken over my organic hair make over. I felt safe in the hands of Ian who has been with the Karine Jackson team for nearly a year after a long successful career in hairdressing.

Karine and I chatted too over my head tipped back into the sink. A passionate, confident business woman and awarding winning hairdresser Karine told me that she researched into organic haircare products after a client found out she had cancer and wanted to use better and more natural alternatives.

Karine hasn’t looked back after seeing great results from clients as well as noticing positive benefits for her and her team too.

She receives amazing feedback from clients after turning away from harsh chemicals. The hairdressers I have chatted to talk about a range of issues of using chemicals on a daily basis including sore skin and finding it difficult to breathe.

Karine herself suffered from a persistent cough and thought it was just because of living in London. After 3 weeks of changing to the organic products her cough disappeared.

Well after a relaxing afternoon using wonderful animal free and organic products, a few juices and yes even a glass of bubbly I emerged with natural looking warm highlights, a fresh cut, the few ‘silver’ strands gone and feeling great.

Now after leaving my hair to settle for a few weeks I have got used to the change of colour. My hair feels softer, looks shinier and feels easier to manage too. I am using the products as well as they are wonderful to use.  They are vegan, contain no salt (which is a bulking agent in many shampoos) and are gentle for my hair and hands too.
A great experience and a super treat for my hair.
I love the fact that they are eco friendly too and have put a great deal of research into this.

They have sourced disposable towels as well – these are much more environmentally friendly than having to keep washing and drying regular towels.
A huge hit and I can’t wait to go back.
Prices start from £34.50 for a colour or £37.50 for a cut and blow dry with a graduate stylist.
